ELECT TO SAVE CURZON SOHO THIS MAY

As Boris Johnson’s reign comes to an end Curzon Cinemas present a duo of events to support the #SaveCurzonSoho campaign during election week. The threat of Soho’s treasured cinema becoming a Crossrail ticket office is real and now is the time to get down and show your support!
A special panel discussion will follow the DocDays screening of MAPPLETHORPE: LOOK AT THE PICTURES on May 3rd focusing on the impact of recent urban developments on Soho’s LGBTQ community, inspired by the life and work of iconic photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. The panel will feature Prof. Gavin Butt (Goldsmiths), Ben Walters (Journalist & campaigner who wrote the application for the UK’s first LGBTQ listed building) and representatives from Positively UK & Stonewall. curzoncinemas.com/docdays/mapplethorpedocdays
On Friday May 6th cult late night programm ers Midnight Movies return for one night only for a screening of THE BLUES BROTHERS! Featuring a roof-raising performance from a London choir, mugshots, cocktails, DJs and more – serving as a timely reminder of what makes Soho – and this much-loved venue – so special. bit.ly/BluesBrothersxSaveCurzonSoho
