Lucille Bliss, who voiced Smurfette in the 80s cartoon The Smurfs, has died. Aged 96

Lucille died on November 8th of natural causes at an assisted living center in Costa Mesa, California.

During a career that spanned six-decades

Lucille Bliss gave voices to  well-known cartoons.

In 1950, one of her first roles was in Walt Disney’s Cinderella as Anastasia Tremaine.

Bliss continued to land a variety of voice roles for Disney, MGM and Hanna-Barbera Productions.
