Dark Circles takes us into the lives of parents(Alex and Penny) who begin to experience disturbing visions after moving from the big city to a country estate.
When Alex and Penny begin seeing a mysterious woman around the house, they at first dismiss the sightings as random hallucinations caused by the lack of sleep but then soon realise that this is more reality than illusion.

The film brought back memories of watching some of the classic haunted house films such as The Amityville Horror, and The Fog, with its creepy set up in a lovely peaceful location that is actually a weird freaky building. The films characters slowly becoming aware that all is not right in there nice new perfect lives. We the audience also know that things arent right with the parents and their child.

The film isnt a terrifying film, for me it wasnt trying to be. It worked very well as a creepy build up, just the way real life often is. The film is classed as a horror film but for me it was more about the collapse of a family unit. Plenty of jump scares in the film to keep people on edge. So if you like slow burning films set in a small town where all is not well, you can do a lot worse than check out Dark Circles.
