Teaser Trailer for Fede Alvarez’s Alien:Romulus delivers blood, atmosphere and facehuggers!

For me the Alien films have been hit and miss, with Alien, Aliens and Alien 3 being my favourites, Alien:Resurrection, Alien V Predator, Prometheus & Alien v Predator:Requiem being okay, and AlienCovenent being my least favourite of the films but still watchable even now and again. I always hoped that we get the often talked about Neil Blomkamp Alien film but at the moment, that project still seems to be out there in hypersleep. Will it see the light of day? Who knows, but I hope it does. But what we are getting in 2024 is Alien:Romulus (no Star Trek connection) from director Fede Alvarez ( Evil Dead, Dont Breathe)

Set 20 years after the events of Alien (which puts it before the events of Aliens) this means there wont be any chance of Ripley showing up as she’s off out in space hypersleeping after her battle with the acid spitting xenomorph in the original Ridley Scott scifi horror, so theres will be no Ripley to save the characters in this film. Not too much is known about the story of Alien:Romulus but we do know a little bit more than we did, due to a teaser trailer being released today. What are your thoughts on the trailer?

With the teaser only running for a minute, we don’t see plot but we do see atmosphere and thats what counts in an Alien movie. We get to see facehuggers, blood, running, and terror and that’s all I need to sell me on the belief that Alien:Romulus is going to be great!  Take me back to an Alien film with tension, and atmosphere and you have me!  Now can August 2024 hurry up please.
