101 Films set to release revenge thriller Renegades, starring Lee Majors, in the UK January 2023.

Starring Lee Majors (The Fall Guy), Nick Moran (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Danny Trejo (Machete), Ian Ogilvy (We Still Kill The Old Way), Louis Mandylor (Debt Collectors), Billy Murray (Rise of the Footsoldier), Patsy Kensit (Lethal Weapon 2), Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott (Nemesis), Michael Brandon (Dempsey & Makepeace), Paul Barber (The Long Good Friday), Michael Paré (Streets of Fire) and Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister (No Holds Barred), British crime flick Renegades is certainly not lacking in the onscreen talent and promises to pack some punches when it arrives in January 2023.

Its been recently announced that 101 Films will be handling the British release and that is great news as the films release approaches. The revenge thriller is directed by Daniel Zirilli (Director of the Luke Goss starring Hollow Point)

Renegades sees ex-green beret Carver (played by Lee Majors gets into severe trouble at the hands of an international drug gang, led by the fearsome Goram (played by My Big Fat Greek Wedding’s Louis Mandylor) and this results in Carver’s old special forces comrades Peck (Return of the Saint’s Ian Ogilvy), Woody (The Bill’s Billy Murray) and Harris (The Full Monty’s Paul Barber) on a mission of to try wrong rights whilst they also seek to protect Carver’s daughter Judy (played by Patsy Kensit).

The films Producer Jonathan Sothcott, who also wrote the film’s story alongside screenwriter Tom Jollife, said: “We are delighted to partner with 101 Films for this very special release. Renegades is the culmination of my career as a film producer so far. Imagine if Guy Ritchie had directed a film produced by Euan Lloyd (The Wild Geese, Who Dares Wins) and that might give you a taste of this high octane, darkly witty action revenge thriller.

“This is a proper, unapologetically old-fashioned revenge movie with an all-star cast that boasts great action sequences, endlessly quotable dialogue and a killer theme song. I am confident audiences will love the Renegades as much as I do.”

101 Films’ Head of Product and Marketing Tim Scaping added: “We’re extremely excited to be bringing Renegades to its home audience in the new year, a star-studded UK film that delivers in terms of both action and performances. We have a strong track record in releasing action movies, as well as supporting British independent film, and are proud to be working on this fantastic release.”

This release news comes only a couple of weeks after Shogun films dropped these official stills from the movie.
