Get ready for the The Newcastle Film Festival which will feature films for everyone, from Hollywood movies to Bollywood movies, from a super Glamorous Awards Ceremony, to Masterclasses with some of the Legends of the silver screen alongside a range of movie magic events across the City of Newcastle and the North East of England. Its not long now until this event kicks off and ive been super excited for it, for a while now, watching the social media updates teasing us with announcements of special screenings of the classic Get Carter ( with special In Conversation Q&A with director Mike Hodge) , a special screening of Romero’s Night Of The Living Dead, and with a great set of already announced attendees such as Neil Marshall, Sean Pertwee, Craig Conway and many many more. March 29th-April 1st cant come soon enough.

In addition to the festival selected films there will also be the world premieres of the KISS vs. MCZ documentary, and Candida Brady’s Urban & the Shed Crew starring Richard Armitage, Anna Friel and Charlie Heaton,, the UK Premiere of Academy-Award winning director Barbara Koppel’s 2017 documentary This is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous, an exclusive world 1st opportunity to meet and engage in an ‘In Conversation’ Q&A session with the legendary Neil Marshall director of The Descent, Dog Soldiers and Hellboy after the screening of his 2008 hit Doomsday (which is a brilliantly fun film which of course you must have seen!, If not why not) and also check out the ‘Where the Stars meet the Stars’ (delivered by the region’s very own Gary Fildes, author An Astronomer’s Tale)

I should be attendence and at the moment am putting all the accommodation and travel from where I am in the North West of England (near Manchester) to the wonderful North East It will be my first ever visit to Newcastle Upon Tyne and I am super hyped that my first visit to the city will be to attend the Newcastle International Film Festival.
