Michael Wright’s crime drama ‘The Undertaker’ Now Streaming on Amazon Prime from Cockerel Entertainment ( @CockerelEnt )

Cockerel Entertainment have now released Michael Wright’s latest feature, The Undertaker onto Amazon Prime.  The Undertaker is a multi award Best Film winning crime drama that has enjoyed a great festival run around the world including Belize International Film Festival where it won Conchshell Award for Best Film, Marbella Film festival where it picked up the Best Film award, and the LA Neo Noire Novel Film & Script Festival where it won the Best Film award.

The Undertaker follows the life of Arthur (played by Paul McGann) a reserved quiet mannered funeral director whose seemingly quiet existence starts to unravel when he makes a reluctant ‘deal’ with a local gangster. Yes its one of those ‘offer you cant refuse’ type deals and as the tensions build in Arthur’s life, he is forced to confront the choices he has made, leading to a chilling confrontation between morality, redemption, and survival.

The film showcases a compelling ensemble cast including Paul McGann who delivers a haunting performance in the lead role, Tara Fitzgerald( Sirens, Brassed Off ) Murray Melvin ( A Taste of Honey, Barry Lyndon ) Sarah Eve (Death On The Nile, The Bay), Bob Cryer (Hollyoaks) Sean Gilder (Shameless) and Roger Barclay (Star Wars:Andor)  The Undertakers cast are all firing on full steam and along with the wonderful production of the movie, it all adds up to a great looking period peace that whilst different in storyline, does remind me of shows such as Peaky Blinders, or movies such as The Krays and Let Him Have It.  We know that the film was made in the 21st century but we feel that we are watching a classic movie from decades gone by (and I mean that as a compliment)

With Michael Wright’s distinct visual style and meticulous direction, The Undertaker offers audiences a cinematic experience that is both emotionally resonant and visually striking. The release marks another milestone for Cockerel Entertainment, underscoring its commitment to delivering bold and original storytelling to global audiences with its ever growing indie gem library. Cockerel Entertainment have been the source of so many ‘wow I really liked that movie’ reactions for me this year and long may that continue.

The Undertaker is now streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime inviting viewers into a world where every secret buried will eventually come to light.
