STUDIOCANAL announces the UK debut of BABY BLOOD, one of the most underrated body horror films of all time. Part of STUDIOCANAL’s Cult Classics range, the UHD and Blu-ray release on 6 October features a beautiful blood-drenched 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative, and includes a host of extras and collectable art cards.

With incredible special effects and boundary-pushing gore, BABY BLOOD is a bonkers mix of early Peter Jackson-style extreme splatter, Frank Henenlotter’s Brain Damage, and Cronenbergian body horror – and features a superb, uncompromising lead performance from Emmanuelle Escourrou, that recalls the sensuousness of Beatrice Dalle in Betty Blue and the intensity of Isabelle Adjani in Possession. Written and directed by Alain Robak,and also starring prolific French star Christian Sinniger (District 13: Ultimatum), the film has never before been released in the UK, making this a grisly treat for horror fans, who are in for a hell of a ride.
