Spending Time With Kama star Tank Dhamala.

Tank Dhamala is a London-based, award-winning actor, working in films, commercials, and music videos. Tank has appeared in such films as 2017’s Dangerous Game (directed by Richard Colton), and the 2023  Sandeep Reddy Vanga directed Animal. Tank’s latest role is in the new thriller KAMA. In the film, Tank plays a battle-hardened soldier who returns home from Afghanistan to the devastating news of his wife Maya’s sudden death and is blindsided by a shocking discovery that threatens to unravel everything he thought he knew. With excitement high for the films release tomorrow, I managed to catch up (virtually) with Tank to send over a few questions for the man himself!   Thank you Tank for taking time out for this (and Faye for arranging this chat)

What attracted you to this role?

The depth of emotions—love, guilt, and revenge!  My character is driven by grief, anger, and an insatiable thirst for answers.

Do you have any ‘props or keepsakes from any of your films?

I think I was allowed to keep the shoes and kept them.

What is your favourite film of all time and why?

There are so many, but for me Scarface stands out because of Al Pacino’s incredible performance.

If you had to make a ‘bucket list’ of people you’d love to work with, tell me one name who would be on it?

Danny Boyle

What for you is the toughest part of the creative journey, and the best?

The continuous rejections are tough in this business, but the best thing is to get the chance to work with different teams, explore new places, and get to explore new characters.

Can you describe your new movie KAMA in just three words

Love, guilt, revenge!
