Currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter ‘Death, Whatever!’ unveils its stretch goals having passed its initial target.

Having blasted past its initial £2000 target, the team behind Death,Whatever! have unveiled some stretch goals for its Kickstarter campaign and would love you to take a peak!

If they raise £3000 (which is £1000 over their initial target) then they can afford to hire a film editor to professionally edit the short film as well as a proof of concept trailer.

If they raise £4000 ((which is £2000 over their initial target) ) they can afford to hire a sound designer who will edit the sound from the film, tidying up any issues and creating the sound design.

If they manage to raise £5000 (which is £3000 over their initial target) they can then afford to hire a professional visual effects artist to work on the few VFX shots required to bring the story to life.

And if they manage to raise £6000 they will be able to hire a professional music composer to create the score of the film, rounding everything out and bringing it all to life.

So there you have them – much needed further things that are needed to bring Death, Whatever! to life (pun intended) and the team over at Silly Wee Films would love you to chuck in a donation if you can! They all add up and anyone who has made a film, knows it isnt easy to raise much needed budgets, So for those of you who arent familiar with Death, Whatever! let me go into a bit of detail about the project and those helping make it.

Silly Wee Films, the creators of ‘Faithful’ and director Lucy Linger are bringing you Death, Whatever! a short film that follows Michelle, a hungover 23-year-old who accidentally electrocutes herself (OUCH! ), and ends up meeting the Grim Reaper. Michelle (who will be played by Ailsa Davidson from Heathers: The Musical, and Outlander: Blood of my Blood and Halo :The TV Series) reluctantly becomes his apprentice, all while navigating the chaos of near-death mishaps and soul collection.  When things go a little ‘wrong’ and the Grim Reaper reveals himself to in fact be Edmund Wrenne, a bookish 30 year old who died in the Victorian times and has been Glasgow’s regional Grim Reaper ever since. Michelle finds herself in a bit of a grey spot after her situation is deemed as a “near-death” experience, which leads to Edmund suggesting that she joins him on a soul collection in the hopes that she mind find is satisfying and with a bit of purpose. Thus begins their adventures…

The film also features Juliet Cadzow  (River City, Balamory, and Scotch and Wry)

Sounds wonderfully bonkers and a ton of fun and the team at Silly Wee Films are super excited to get cracking on the film production. They launched a Kickstarter to raise the films budget and of course the stretch goals and filming is scheduled to begin March 2025, yes at some point next month.

Wishing them the best of luck with their Kickstarter and hoping you all check the page out, which you can do HERE.
