Hilarious LGBTQ+ film ‘BAM!’ On digital 25 November from Miracle Media

Wham, thank you ma’am meet BAM! – aka the broke-ass-motherf*ckers – in a fresh and funny comedy from one-to- watch writer–director Jordan Tragash in his bold feature debut. The film is a love letter to Chicago and its vibrant community that perfectly captures the highs and lows of being young, hopeful and broke in the big city and is set for UK digital on 25 November courtesy of Miracle Media.

In the hilarious, heartwarming and all too relatable BAM! we join Auggie (Tuxford Turner), Eve (Tip Sayarath), Dee (Brandon Wright), Bibi (Kalil Sims), Cici (Noah Lash) and Faye (Kiyumi Daniel) – six 20-something gig economy workers, all trying to make ends meet and have a blast in Chicago. Auggie, a non-binary bike messenger, delivers sex toys for a local shop and meets Bibi, Cici and Eve through their mutual friend Dee, an affable but exhausted drug dealer. When Dee leaves for a much-needed holiday, he hands over his business to Bibi and Cici – who quickly realise they need better transport to handle deliveries across the city. Desperate, they steal bikes, accidentally taking Auggie’s only means of getting around.

As if things couldn’t get worse, Auggie gets locked out of their apartment and turns to Eve for help, sparking a connection neither saw coming. Meanwhile, Dee’s holiday spirals into disaster and he races back to salvage his business and the mess his crew has made. But the shit really hits the fan when the whole gang crosses paths in a wild, eye-popping,

shocking showdown. Full of fun and humour BAM! is a warm and riotous romp through the trials and tribulations of friendship and community for those on the fringes of society and shows how a little kindness can go a long way.

Jordan Tragash said “Through comedy and community BAM! envisions the world not as it is, but as it should be. The world of BAM! is a world of friendship, one where people help each other and resolve conflicts without violence. It is a world where forgiveness is the common language and nuanced relationships can span gender, race, class and sexual boundaries.” Like Chicago was for me, BAM! is a miracle. Created over the course of a summer, I can proudly say the passion of the piece shines in every frame. Refreshingly diverse in its depiction of people on the fringes of society, it is a hilarious coming of age story full of lively characters brought to life with incredible precision. The film explores a soaring depiction of Chicago that will warm the heart of any Midwesterner and strengthens its gorgeous visuals with a striking, completely original score that features everything from punk, to rap, to introspective pop.At the heart of BAM! is its characters, stumbling their way through being young and broke in a bustling city. Despite the adversity they encounter and the mistakes they make, they come to realise that any challenge can be faced head on, as long as you have good people at your side to help you through it. That is why BAM! is a world I want to live in, and one I know audiences will want to live in too”
