What a year its been for Lucy Linger. Not only has Lucy been busy directing short film Faithful (written by Fraser Coull) and braving the Scottish weather elements on the outdoor shoot (spoiler: It was windy and rained a lot- trust me I’ve seen the behind the scenes footage) but Lucy has also been working super hard on Offroading, a play that she wrote which was inspired by her own journey going through chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and hormone therapy for 5 years. .Offroading was performed in London and Surrey and received awesome reviews from multiple outlets. One thing Lucy did want to do was to capture the full play on film nost just for great memories for all who saw it, but also of course for those who weren’t able to get to see the stage play. Lucy also would love to use this as a concept film which would then hopefully allow Offroading to be turned into a feature film.
Lucy has now launched a GoFundMe Page to raise the £3000 needed to complete this filming and this is where YOU, yes YOU can help out. If you are in a position to donate to Lucy’s campaign- that’s awesome. You can find the page HERE If you aren’t in a position to donate, then please do share the campaign page (or this article) across your social media channels in the hope of it dropping onto the screens of someone who can donate to help bring this project from the stage to the screen.
Anyone who donates will get a link to watch the finished film of the play when it’s ready and all funds raised will go towards paying the actors, the camera crew, the other wonderful creatives involved and of course take care of the food and travel needed for a project like this.
