Man and Witch: The Dance of a Thousand Steps starring The NeverEnding Story’s Tami Stronach Don’t miss the most magical film of the summer in theaters July 28 & 30 with Fathom Events. Tickets Now On Sale ( @ManAndWitchFilm @NeverendingTami )

Directed by Still Game director Michael Hines and written by Greg Steinbruner in his feature writing debut but who has appeared on screen in many films including The Republic, and Going My Way and also appears in Man and Witch. I read a little while back that ‘Man and Witch was said to be a heartwarming homage to the fantasy films of the 1980s’ and with that brief description. I was in!  With Tami back on screen again after many years offscreen and the promise that the film will be a love letter to some of my favourite films of the 80s, To say my anticipation was awake, was an understatement  We have a fantastic looking trailer and it gets two thumbs up from me (it would get more thumbs up but I only have two) As you’ll see from the trailer, the film whilst made in the 21st century, does have the feel of the 80s films we love, but made with the technology of 21st century filmmaking. Man & Witch has the humour, the characters, and the adventure of many films we loved as kids and still love as adults. In the just over two minute trailer- the smile remained on my face through the duration.

Its not just the trailer that has me excited, and its not (just) the return of Tami Stronach to the screen that has me excited, the cast also features  Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Sean Astin (The Goonies), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse) Bill Bailey, Jennifer Saunders, and Eddie Izzard. There isn’t a year goes by where I don’t watch The Neverending Story, a film which I saw in theatres 3 times on its initial release, and have owned the VHS and now DVD and have rewatched the fantasy film dozens of times over the years.  So if Man and Witch is a homage to that wonderful movie or that same style of film, then I will adore it!   2024. The year of Man & Witch!

Earlier this year (February 13th over on Deadline) the story broke that Fathom Events had acquired Man and Witch for a theatrical release in the US this summer which is great news (more so if you are of course in the US, but its great news that the film will be seen on the big screen as it definitely deserves to be) Those dates have now been announced and they are the 28th of July and also the 30th of July. Tickets are now on sale on the Fathom Website
