Featuring WWE Superstar Mike Halac himself as co-writer & subject, the film sees Halac AKA Mantaur through a rise and fall in his career with the hardest fall being to his body and mental state. The Mighty Mantaur explores the man behind the mask as he fights for his life. Halac sadly passed away in July of 2023 after the film’s completion, but was able to see it mere weeks before his death and told the filmmakers that he loved it.

McGreeves shared his thoughts about making the film: “I had Mike Halac as an actor without any knowledge of his wrestling career. As we became friends, I realized that although I wasn’t a fan of wrestling his stories were interesting on a universal level and that is what sparked the idea to make this film. Along the way, I realized that his story was more than his interesting bio, but a call to action for audiences to understand what these athletes go through and the dangerous risks they are taking with their lives and no safety net.

The Mighty Mantaur has been publicly screened to sold out audiences in Omaha, NE, where Mike is from, and in Los Angeles, California. The film has been accepted into many film festivals and has won 10 awards to date.” GDR has set the digital release date for June 28th ,
