Silly Wee Films founder & writer Fraser Coull (Cops & Monsters) along with Director Lucy Linger (Love Lies, Yoga in Isolation) and Producers Valerie Andrews and Lindsay Jenkins are hard at work crafting a fantastical short film called ‘Faithful’. With principal photography having been completed in April 2024, its onto the post production stages of the film which includes trying to secure the funding for the closing titles song for Faithful. Currently running an Indiegogo campaign Silly Wee Films are trying to secure a total of £6.8k for the project. You can find their Indiegogo page here https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/faithful-fairytale-short-film-end-title-song#/
The story of ‘Faithful’ focuses on 13 year old Vaila (played by Lily McGuire in her on screen debut) as she heads off into the woods to track down the Cù-Sìth, a Grim Reaper fairy dog that drags its victims to the Otherworld. Vaila is determined to find the dog in the hopes that it’ll lead her to her Mum (to be played by Fresh Meat star Kimberely Nixon) , who passed away several years previously, to reunite her family.
The team behind the film are on that wonderful filmmaking journey and are currently also looking for some local Scottish businesses who would love to sponsor the film.
Shout outs will also be given across the films social media accounts and the business name will also appear in the end credits of ‘Faithful’ How cool is that. I was watching the Michael Bay film The Island earlier this year and whilst I had seen the film on its release, the only thing I could remember about the film until my reviewing, was that Microsoft’s Xbox featured heavily in it. So for The Island, I remembered the product placement more than the storyline. Product placement is a huge win for a business and so if you are a Scottish business and If you can help Fraser, Lucy, Valerie and Lindsay at all please e-mail Fraser at contact@sillyweefilms.co.uk
If it isn’t products that you would like to help with, Silly Wee films are also looking for sponsors who can donate funding to the production (and post production) budget. Businesses looking to cash sponsor don’t have to be Scottish located.
‘Faithful’ will also be entered into film festivals around the globe and the distribution plan for ‘Faithful’ also includes having the film show on air flights around the globe as well as being screened on Amazon Prime.

Just as a taster, here’s a concept teaser they shot last year to help get the story across to potential sponsors.
