From Barry Jenkins (Director of Moonlight) comes Mufasa:The Lion King, a beautifully animated prequel to the animated The Lion King (2019). and today arrives the teaser trailer for the film. 

In the voice cast list we have Blue Ivy Carter joining and who will voice Kiara, the daughter of Queen Nala and Kimg Samba, we haveAaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr. will voice the younger of Mufasa and Scar, respectively. Many of the voice talent from the 2019 film are back too including John Kani as Rafiki, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, Donald Glover as Simba and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala.

There are also new names in the credits includng Tiffany Boone as Sarabi; Kagiso Lediga as Young Rafiki; Preston Nyman as Zazu; the always awesome Mads Mikkelsen as Kiros Thandiwe Newton as Taka’s mother, Eshe; Lennie James as Taka’s father, Obasi; Anika Noni Rose as Mufasa’s mother, Afia; and Keith David as Mufasa’s father, Masego.

Musical numbers are being written and produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda and co-produced by Mark Mancina 

 The trailer does look pretty impressive, and with still a few months until the films release, Im sure the effects will be touched up a little bit more and look even more impressive on a big cinema screen.
