Rupert Sanders’s The Crow from Lionsgate reveals first trailer and I like it! ( @LionsgateUK @Lionsgate )

Revealed today is the trailer for The Crow, directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman ) and starring Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven who seeks vengeance against the killers of his partner Shelley  (played by FKA twigs) Releasing in cinemas June 7th, the film is bound to come under much flack on the internet (but doesn’t every film nowadays) I think the 2024 film trailer looks pretty good and I’m a huge fan of the Alex Proyas movie. The Crow (2024) still based on James O’Barr’s original graphic novel doesn’t seem to have tried to copy the same visual style as Alex’s film and I’m okay with that. I think Alex Proyas did it wonderfully in the 90s and its not something that needs to be duplicated for this 2024 film.

Bill looks great as Eric and FKA looks prefect as Shelley and looking at the 2 minute trailer, the film certainly looks like its not going to be a film that has toned down violence.  So whilst I fully expect much of the ‘film fans’ on social media going insane at the thought of The Crow (2024) I’m fine with it. There’s room in the world for both films (and the sequels and television show)  and no matter what I think of the full film when I do see it, I can still head straight back to the Brandon Lee starring film anytime I want.  What are your thoughts on the trailer for The Crow (2024) What I can say is that the Rupert Sanders film looks interesting and visually cool too and so I will watch The Crow when it flies into my viewing space.
