The Walt Disney Company has announced that four new Collector’s Editions of popular Disney+ Original series from Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm will be available on 4K Ultra HD for fans to add to their collections. These special releases feature Steelbook packaging, concept art cards and some never-before-seen bonus features. Great news for fans of physical media and whilst there are many shows or ‘originals’ that live solely on streaming platforms. I do give a round of applause to Disney for starting the release of some of these onto discs so we dont have to concern ourselves with them ‘vanishing’ into the ether should a streamer decide to pull them off their digital universe.
All titles will be available to pre-order from 13th April from distributor Elevation Sales.
Like the previous Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm Collectors Editions released last year (Loki Season 1, WandaVision, and The Mandalorian Seasons 1 and 2), each of these new releases will be available on 4K UHD Steelbook with Blu-ray discs included, brand-new box art designed by popular artist Attila Szarka and collectible concept art cards.
