Scottish based Silly Wee Films recently launched a mini-crowdfunding campaign over on Kickstarter to get their short film ‘Faithful’ to its next stage. With an initial target of £1000 ( $1270) having been reached to begin the filming, the team have added some stretch goals on their campaign page. If they manage to hit the £3000 target then this means more filming can be completed and some cast members can complete their scenes in Faithful. Now in their final few hours of fundraising, the team over at Silly Wee Films are so close to hitting the £2.5k target and with the movie gods on their side, they can still hit the £3k mark.
If the target of £5000 can then be reached then a third and final day of filming can be completed and will involve the practical puppet effects transforming Dui and Wiki into the magical Cù-Sìth fairy dogs, and finishing principle photography on their short film.
Whilst hitting this £5k target by the 30th of January isnt an easy task, Stretch Goals in a campaign are very important and with the support of the wonderful people who can chip in any amount to the ‘Faithful’ collection pot over on Kickstarter, it can be done.
Once the filming is fully complete then its down to the editing stage. and heading into the post production part of filmmaking – music, sound effects, visual effects, editing, grading and finally completing their short film. So whilst there is still a lot to do, the funding for the actual filming of Faithful is a huge thing.
Any donations are welcome and those at Silly Wee Films are also super grateful for any shares of their social media postings too if you cant afford to throw some money in their ‘pot’
The Kickstarter campaign ends Tue, January 30 2024 and is now live HERE.
