I loved the 2020 film ‘Becky’ and if you haven’t seen it, please do seek it out and check it out. The 2020 film tells of 13 year old Becky (played by Lulu Wilson) who’s weekend at a lake house with her father definitely takes a turn for the worse not only when her likely new step mother shows up but also when a group of convicts who have just broken out of a prison convoy show up at the lake house and wreak havoc.

Becky decides that enough’s enough and flips the havoc right back on the house invading scumbags in ways that would make John Wick and John Rambo very proud.  I revisited Becky (2020) before venturing into the sequel as I hadn’t seen the film for a couple of years.

So, two years after that story ended Becky attempts to rebuild her life in the care of an older woman – a kindred spirit named Elena who is a lovely woman. But when a group known as the “Noble Men” break into their home, attack them, and take Becky’s beloved dog, Diego, Becky finds herself forced to return to her old ways to protect herself and her loved ones and lets just say that Becky isn’t someone you want to mess with, Violence ensues in some pretty insane ways.  Whilst The Wrath of Becky doesnt quite match up to the first film, it comes pretty close and does work so well as a double bill of feature films. Spend just short of three hours with these two films and you will have I promise you, have had a great session of entertainment.

Whilst Becky (2020) was directed by Jonathan Milott & Cary Murnion. The Wrath of Becky is now directed by Matt Angel (TV’s ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’, My Super Psycho Sweet 16) and the difference in directors doesn’t cause any major shift when it comes to the feel of the films nor the crazy world in which its set. Both films have their super stylish design to them and Lulu as Becky whether shes the 13yr old from the first film or the 16yr old from the following film. Shes on top form!

The Wrath of Becky also stars Kate Siegel (Hush, TV’s ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’) and the wonderful Courtney Gains (Children of the CornBack To The Future) who is fantastic in the role of one of the Noble Men. Courtney is also a musician in real life and he even gets to perform a little of that in the movie, which was a nice touch!. If John Wick or John Rambo had a daughter, I could well believe she could be Becky!
