We Have Blast Off!
The Eagle Has Landed “documentary crowdfunding campaign has launched successfully and will run until the 6th of October. The Documentary by Jeffrey Morris explores the cross-generational impact of the iconic ‘Eagle’ from the classic TV show Space 1999 and the documentary will show never-before-seen archival footage and is all set to be released in time for the 50th anniversary of Space: 1999’s debut.
I loved Space 1999 as a kid, and watched it every time it was on ITV here in the UK. Whilst I don’t recall every plot line of those 48 episodes, the characters in the show are still in my mind but at the front of the memories about that show, is easily The Eagle spacecraft. Its iconic!, it was super cool back then and its still super cool now.
“Space: 1999 appeared on TV a few short years after the world watched Neil Armstrong take the first steps on the moon,” Jeffrey Morris noted in a statement. “The show’s unforgettable Eagle inspired a generation to envision a future in space and is still doing so decades later. The question we explore is ‘why?’ What is it about this imaginary craft that has captured and held imaginations for nearly 50 years?
The Eagle Has Landed documentary is being produced by Jeffrey Morris’s FutureDude Entertainment in partnership with Zero Point Zero Production Inc.
