First images revealed for Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey’ sequel.

For a film that cost less than $100,000 to create and for that film to then make a global take of around $5.2 million, it was a no brainer that we would get another installment of Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey. Whilst the first film did get mixed reviews, the money it made of course pretty much guaranteed that a follow up would be put into production pretty fast. Winnie The Pooh:Blood and Honey 2 is currently in production with a bigger budget, and a bigger spotlight on the film because of the first films success. Writer/Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield is back to helm the second film and the team behind the film have also revealed some images from the film to The Hollywood Reporter.

Bigger and Badder. The sequel will feature new creature designs, a new cast, and a high death count,” said writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield. in The Hollywood Reporter articleHowever, this time Pooh and friends will be leaving the 100 Acre Wood to take their fight to the quiet community of Ashdown!

The cast list this time (Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey is a slasher film so its of course no secret that much of the cast from the first film wont be back) includes the wonderful Simon Callow (Four Weddings And A Funeral), Tallulah Evans (Son of Rambow), Scott Chambers (Doctor Jekyll), Ryan Olivia (The Seasoning House) , Peter DeSouza-Feighoney (The Pope’s Exorcist), Chrissie Wunna (Darker Shades of Summer) and Alec Newman (Strike Back). I did enjoy the cast from the first film, they did a great job and am very excited to see what this new cast does.

I enjoyed Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey, and whilst I still think its a very odd Winnie The Pooh film, its a pretty decent slasher film which I did enjoy. You can read my full thoughts on the first film here. So get ready for another trip back to the insanity of a Winnie The Pooh slasher gorefest.  Excited!
