From Writer Siobhán Callaghan and Director Pollyanna McIntosh comes Quicksand, a short film which I haven’t yet seen, but am very much looking forward to watching when its out in the world. So what has made Quicksand leap onto my radar. Easy answers. Its directed by Pollyanna McIntosh who did such a fantastic directing job on Darlin, and who I always enjoy watching on screen when shes wearing her ‘acting hat’. 

Quicksand features Siobhán Callaghan ( Vikings: Valhalla ) as Sally, Pollyanna McIntosh (The Walking Dead) as Nola, Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones)  as Joe, Lauryn Canny (Amber)  as Max, Kayode Akinyemi ( Vikings: Valhalla ) as Cillian and Philip O’Sullivan (Vikings) as Bill. The short film tells the story of an unexpected discovery which then threatens to unravel Sally’s secret sex addiction and who is forced to take drastic action to keep her double life a secret. 

I dont have any information on the release for the film as yet but do know it did have its world premiere at this years Galway Film Fleadh back in July, so hopefully it wont be too long before we can check out Quicksand.
