Ethel – A Short Film is set to be released on September 21st 2023, which is also World Alzheimer’s Day 21 Sept 2023. Written and Directed by Jonathan Wright, Ethel – A Short Film stars Miriam Margolyes (from The Harry Potter franchise) , Professor Green (Are We Dead yet), Jamie JJ Hamblett (Once Upon A Time in London) and Elijah Baker (Tango One)
Ethel – A Short Film is inspired by real events and the story follows Ethel (played by Miriam Margolyes ), a vulnerable elderly lady with Alzheimer’s and Jack (played by Elijah Baker) , a small time drug dealer who needs more money fast. Ethel is an easy target and Jack knows this.

Also very much worth noting is that the film is produced by Patricia Rybarczyk and Sacha Bennett who’s work I am very familiar with but who also appeared on my podcast a few years ago to talk about one of their many projects.
