Treasured Films shows us its treasures, beginning with The Lieberman Bundle. ( @TreasFilmsUK )

I do love physical media. Always have and always will and as the streaming world grows, I always still gravitate towards my physical media collection. I don’t mind having to pick a film of the shelf, open its case, pop the disc (whether it be DVD or bluray) into one of my players and then sit down and scroll through a menu before sitting down to watch my film of choice. For me I love having a film collection that I can look at (sometimes for longer than I should as I struggle to decide what to watch- but that’s okay) I also love special features on a film. with my favourite feature being the commentaries, especially if the chat track features people who were involved in the making of the film. So, anyway. I’m digressing. ah yes physical media. So when a new company pops up, I always like to see what they have and see how much love they are putting into their films. One of these new companies is  Treasured Films which showed up on my ‘radar’ recently from a tweet by my favourite film festival Grimmfest. Yes Treasured Films and Grimmfest had teamed up to run a competition, and yes I ended up winning that competition and yes my prize arrived this morning. Its awesome by the way and no that’s not why I’m writing this article.  I’ve just been looking at the Treasured Films website and I LIKE IT! So lets delve into ‘Satans Little Helper’ the 2004 film written and directed by Jeff Lieberman

It’s Halloween and nine-year-old Douglas (played by Alexander Brickel) is obsessed with playing his favourite video game ‘Satan’s Little Helper’, something he immerses himself in when his big sister Jenna (played Katheryn Winnick – Vikings) comes back to visit. Before long, Douglas happens upon a serial killer dressed up as the dark prince himself, and naively thinks his video game has taken on a new lifelike dimension. As the situation becomes deadlier, however, Douglas begins to realise that it may not be a game after all as his family and all around them try and survive Halloween night from his devilish new friend…

Im very excited to watch the film over the next couple of days and will update this article with my thoughts and review notes.  For now though, many thanks to all at Treasured Films and I’m very much looking forward to keeping up with the releases that you have in store for us all.
