Daniel Pacquette has worked on films with Sean Connery (Entrapment) , Pierce Brosnan (Tomorrow Never Dies), hes a writer, an editor, a camera operator, and director, having directed the recently released Ghosted starring Jade Asha, Kevin De Groot and Byronn Swiegrs which tells of a struggling actress who returns to the dating scene after a bad breakup and is confident that meeting guys is easy. . I virtually caught up with Daniel and he was kind enough to complete the eveer popular Spending Time With questions (as well as a few cheeky slipped in ones too) for me. Thanks Daniel
What was it like working on James Bond firms? Was this a big dream of yours?
Working on two James Bond movies was super exciting. Seeing how things were done at that level, meeting the cast and crew, travelling to various locations, and because it happened so early in my career it had a huge impact on me
What tips do you have for people who want to level up in the industry, as you have done?
Reflect on the decisions you’ve made, and the decisions which haven’t worked, try not to repeat them
What is one of your favourite locations to film?
I love filming outside, on the street, where there is often other things going on, aswell as the scene we’re filming. Plus we have sun, sometimes or street lights, both can be very nice
Do you prefer day shoots or night shoots?
I think night shoots are more challenging, but for me produce higher levels of achievement
Do you have any ‘props or keepsakes from any of your films?
I was given some evening wear from one of the James Bond films I worked on, and wore that evening wear on many occasions after
Have you ever got someone’s autograph… or been starstruck?
No, I don’t get excited by that sort of stuff
Do you have an ‘off switch’ when not working, and how does it work?
No off switch, when I’m watching something, film, documentary, commercial or music video, my mind is always working, it never stops
If you had to make a ‘bucket list’ of people you’d love to work with, tell us one name that would be on it?
Steven Spielberg, Paul Greengrass, Spike Lee, Denzil Washington,Merly Streep, Kate Blanchett, Leonardo Dicaprio
You were director on Ghosted, which was so far won 17 awards, how does that make you feel, and what were the best and also the most challenging aspects of working on this film?
People not sticking around because the budget so very low, resulting in not having the crew, cast and locations which would’ve helped us tell a better story
