BEST ONE-LINERS IN THE SHOW AND FILM
Based on the hit movie franchise, LETHAL WEAPON tells the story of Martin Riggs, a slightly unbalanced former Navy SEAL who teams up with veteran detective Roger Murtaugh on the Los Angeles police force. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment brings all 18 episodes of this season’s most electrifying action series to Blu-ray ^TM and DVD with the release of LETHAL WEAPON: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON on 25 September, 2017.

To celebrate the smash hit TV show coming to Blu-ray and DVD, lets take a look at some of the classic quotes from both the film and TV series.

TV SERIES

Scorsese: Wow. You two are like peaches and cream.

Murtaugh: More like Starsky and Hutch.

Scorsese: Which one’s Starsky?

Riggs and Murtaugh (in unison): I am.

 

 FILM

Riggs: Hey, look friend, let’s just cut the sh*t. Now we both know why I was transferred. Everybody thinks I’m suicidal, in which case, I’m f****d and nobody wants to work with me; or they think I’m faking to draw a psycho pension, in which case, I’m f****d and nobody wants to work with me. Basically, I’m f****d.

Murtaugh: Guess what?

Riggs: What?

Murtaugh: I don’t want to work with you!

Riggs: Hey, don’t.

Murtaugh: Ain’t got no choice! Looks like we both been f****d!

TV SERIES

Riggs: See, that’s your problem. You’re always a glass half empty kind of guy.

Murtaugh: Oh? I’m the glass half empty guy? That’s some mighty rich words coming from your mouth.

FILM

Murtaugh: Have you ever met anybody you didn’t kill?

Riggs: Well, I haven’t killed you yet.

Both Murtagh and Riggs have some great quick comebacks which you always wish you’d thought of:

TV SERIES

Murtaugh: So you finally meet a woman that tolerates you and you like, but you won’t take her call. What is your problem?
Riggs: There is no problem. I hit the little button and put it in my pocket. It’s over.

FILM
Murtaugh: What do you do, sleep with that thing (his gun) under your pillow?
Riggs: I would if I slept.

They fight like family but we get some really funny, sarcastic comments from their squabbling:

Murtaugh: Are you okay?

Riggs: I’m literally covered in beer, and I haven’t had one sip, so, no, Rog, I’m not okay.

FILM

Murtaugh: I’m gonna die on a toilet, aren’t I?

Riggs: Guys like you don’t die on toilets.

However, at the end of the day, you know they always have each other’s backs:

Riggs: Hey, Wally, do me a favour? Stay away from my partner.

Murtaugh: I don’t even care if this is reciprocal or not, but I consider you a friend.

Riggs: Did he say old man?
