With a non descriptive sort of title (which actually makes a ton of sense once youve begin watching the film) I decided to check out this film from filmmakers Ryan Colucci Dragan Roganovic which is a brutal, gritty, impressive piece of work by all involved. Jay a Long Island drug dealer finds himself in one hell of a race against time when one of his ’employees’ does the one thing you shouldnt do to some psychotic Serbian gangsters. Yep you guessed it. The moronic Alex (played by Matty Finochio) steals from the Serbians, and runs to tell Jay (played by Frank Raducz Jr) all about it, dropping him into a rush against the clock jackpot and endangering them all.

What I thought would be an okay film, turned out to be one of my favourite films of the past few weeks with a brilliantly indie gritty feel to is that reminded me of films such as Rounders (starring Matt Damon and Edward Norton) with a great mix of loan sharks, gangsters, drug dealers and a lot of other typical ingredients used in gangster films, but here used to perfection in exactly the right place at exactly the right time which all helps to build up this wonderful thriller jigsaw that caused the running time to fly by.
There are so many good things that I can say about this film that you might think im the best friend of the filmmakers, however sadly I dont know them but still. Suburban Cowboy is a great piece of entertainment and with a wonderful supporting cast, the main star is of course Frank Raducz Jr who must go from scary drug dealer to vulnerable human being, back to being a violent human being. Whenever he needs to and his plays the role wonderfully.
Definitely check out Suburban Cowboy which is now out on Digital for you to see and hear.
