Relationships are strained between two neighbouring farm families when one of them chooses to lease their land to a gas company. In the midst of growing tension, the land is drilled, and something long dormant and terrifying, deep beneath the earth’s surface, is released.

I love seeing films that bring something different, and Unearth is one of those films. Whilst a horror film about ‘fracking’ might seem like an odd choice, rest assured it works wonderfully on many levels. Directors John C. Lyons, and Dorota Swies have crafted a wonderfully creepy and engrossing character drama and blended it with the elements that makes it a perfect fit for horror fans. So for horror fans, they will delight, but also for fans of great stories inhabited by three dimensional characters. Unearth is for you.
Its tense, it feels real, it has mystery but not confusion, and its damn right creepy
