Practical Magic, the beloved 1998 film starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, will be available for purchase on 4K UHD Blu-ray on August 24 and SteelBook on October 5.
The release will include new bonus content featuring the cast and creative team discussing the film’s legacy. The newly remastered film will be available ahead of the UK theatrical release of the highly anticipated sequel Practical Magic 2 on September 11.
In a small, contemporary New England town, for two sisters from a family of witches, falling in love is the trickiest spell of all. They struggle to use their gift for magically guiding fate to overcome their family curse: The men they fall in love with are doomed to an untimely death!
Based off the book Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman, the film, directed by Griffin Dunne, features an all-star cast including Academy Award Winners Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, and Dianne Wiest, along with Emmy Award Winner Stockard Channing, Goran Visnjic, and Aidan Quinn. The film is produced by Denise Di Novi, and the screenplay is by Robin Swicord and Akiva Goldsman and Adam Brooks, based on Hoffman’s novel. It is a Di Novi Pictures production in association with Fortis Films.
