What really happens in an actor’s audition room from Bebe Cave ( ITV’s Victoria). At the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this July/August.

After bringing a string of sold-out shows with her sister, Writer/Actress Bebe Cave’s long-awaited solo Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut is a one woman daring dark comedy play about the perils of show-business. The Screen Test is a coming-of-age tale about a girl who is desperate to become a star, even if she sacrifices herself along the way.

Betsy Bitterly, an aspiring actress in golden-age Hollywood, undertakes a series of ‘screen tests’ for film roles that could change her life. As she undergoes these trials to try and reach her dream, Betsy herself changes in ways she never expected. She falls in love, makes friends and foes, and loses track of her moral compass in her never ending quest to ‘make it’. But what does ‘making it’ really mean, anyway? And when do you let go of the dream? Through the character of Betsy, Bebe will try to answer these questions that haunt a star-to-be.

Bebe’s Show runs from 31st July – 26th August  at the Pleasance Courtyard 60 Pleasance, Edinburgh EH8 9TJ

Tickets range from £9.00 – £12.00 and can be bought here  www.pleasance.co.uk
