I do love a good memoir, and I do love a good memoir from someone ive been a fan of for years. and Sam Neill definitely fits into that category. For me the first time I saw Sam Neill on the screen would have been his portrayal as Damien Thorn in 1981’s Omen III:The Final Conflict, followed that same year in Attack Force Z, but its his wonderful starring role in The Final Conflict which made me realise Sam Neill was a screen presence and over the years He became one of those actors that I would see his name attached, and check out the film or TV show. Such a great actor and seems like a damn fine guy too. I wont go through all the films and shows that hes been in that I really like. Its a long list, but I will say that if Sam’s names involved- then check it out!
So not content with being in so many great shows and films, not content with being super busy also running the Two Paddocks vineyard, Sam has also been busy writing his memoirs and I am very excited to read it. Written over a few months in 2022, The book promises to tell the story of how Sam became one of the world’s most celebrated actors, who has worked with everyone from Meryl Streep to Isabel Adjani, from Jeff Goldblum to Sean Connery, from Steven Spielberg to Jane Campion.
The book is avialble to pre-order here and is being published by The Text Publishing Company
The release date in case you missed it stamped on the above picture is March 21st 2023.
