The return of Willow has been talked about for several years even by its director Ron Howard and whilst of course many details are under wraps or still in development, it is known that Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians) will direct the pilot episode of the new streaming show. The series will be set several years after the 1988 movie and we are sure to meet new characters that we have not seen before.  

Willow:The series is also notable in that its the first non Star Wars project since 2015 but with a new Indiana Jones project i development, it is good that Lucasfilm spread the storytelling wings to move slightly away from the galaxy far far away.
