@kensteelmill is ecstatic about the results for @filththemovie

Detective Sergeant Bruce Robertson wants a promotion. He is clearly the best man for the job – the rest of his colleagues are just idiots.

Annoyingly, there’s been a murder and Bruce’s boss wants results. No problem for Bruce. He’s in control and when he solves the case and wins the promotion, his wife will return to him. No problem.
But is life that simple? Is Bruce the man he really thinks he is? The tragic, hilarious and memorable answers unfold in FILTH…

Filth-Dreharbeiten in Hamburg

With casting such as James McAvoy (Welcome To The Punch, Trance) ,Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot,Deathwatch), Eddie Marsan (Tyrannosaur, The Disappearance of Alice Creed) , Martin Compston (The Wee Man, Sweet Sixteen), Jim Broadbent (The Iron Lady, Hot Fuzz) and Pollyanna KcIntosh (The Woman, Exam) and from the writing of Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting, Porno) this film looks fantastic and I for one (and many) cant wait to see Filth, Filth and more Filth.

The film opened in Scotland September 27th and so far  Here is the update.

Taking the top spot in Scotland, Lionsgate’s Filth opened with a terrific debut of just under $400,000 (£250,000) from just 38 locations for the week’s highest average of $10,541 (£6,523).

The result surpasses Trainspotting’s $153,000 (£94,460) debut in 1996.

Speaking to ScreenDaily, producer Ken Marshall of Steel Mill Pictures commented: “We are ecstatic about the results in Scotland and the job Lionsgate is doing promoting the film. Hopefully this success will carry south of the border when the film opens in the rest of the UK on October 4th.”

Here is the trailer. What do you think?

Could well be the funniest trailer of the year in my opinion. Now give me your opinion.
