In 1986, THE TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE brought the battle for Cybertron to our cinema screens and refused to play it safe. Optimus Prime and Megatron collide in a battle with permanent consequences just as Unicron, a planet-devouring machine, closes in. Heroes fall, villains are reborn and a new leader must rise. With a voice cast that included Orson Welles and Leonard Nimoy and an arena-rock soundtrack, it made Transformers feel bigger, darker and more cinematic than ever before.

Forty years later, The Transformers The Movie returns to theaters in stunning 4K, with premium large-format 4DX presentations in select territories, for SIX days only, ( September 17th–22nd). Every screening will also include the world premiere of OPTIMUS PRIME: AWAKENING, an all-new CG-animated 12 minute short. There will also be exclusive collectible concessions available at participating theatres while supplies last of course so get in there quick!
