FrightFest and FAB Press once again join forces to launch THE FRIGHTFEST GUIDE TO JAPANESE HORROR MOVIES, which goes exclusively on sale during Tubi FrightFest 2026, August 27th – August 31st. The author, world-renowned Japanese cinema expert Tom Mes, will be present during the festival to introduce select Japanese horror movie screenings and to sign copies of his great looking book.

I have seen many Japanese horror films over the years but I just know that ive barely touched the surface of the films that Japanese filmmakers have crafted. This book looks like a great book to begin a ‘Japanese Horror Movie Project’ with and to watch them all would be not only a fun (and scary) time, but also a highly interesting endevour
