Get ready for psychopathic Santa Claus & his visit to a small, rural town in Writer/Director James Crow’s NIGHTMARE ON 34TH STREET. Out Now from Wild Eye Releasing

From James Crow, the writer director of Curse of The Witching Tree, and House of Salem comes a Christmas treat. Nightmare on 34th Street which takes us into the festive tale of Santa Claus who in this tale takes a trip to a small rural town and lets just say its not to be all festive, nice and joyful! We know straight from the start that Nightmare on 34th Street isn’t going to be a happy Christmas movie, but it does deserve to be placed on the Christmas film rotation from this day forward.  Its a really well shot fun, insane, movie. its also a movie that I first heard about a few years ago and at one point wasn’t sure if I had just missed its release, or whether the film would come out at all.  It was a pleasant surprise to have had the film pop up at the start of this month and get me into the festive mood. In this anthology film, we are treated to several festive stories (four in total) all introduced by ‘Santa’ (played by Pierse Stevens) who is talking to Peter (played by Jude Forsey)

I wont go through all the stories in this 130 minute film as the fun in watching an anthology film like this is hearing, seeing and experiencing the stories yourself (just as I did) But if you like serial killers, Krampus, ventriloquists and death as well as a very dark take on the Christmas time of year, then Nightmare on 34th Street will definitely entertain you whilst you eat your chocolates or drink your egg nog or whatever you do during this festive time of year.

For me the highlights of the film were of course that Nightmare on 34th Street is now available to watch and enjoy, and it really is a fun enjoyable film. Over the top yes, but I love that about it and I’m 101% sure the film is meant to be over the top and ‘popcorny’ but the other highlight is the cast. James Crow has assembled so many names in this film who’s work I am familiar with. Dani Thompson (Bad Moon Rising), Gillian Broderick (Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey), Petra Bryant (The Last Scout) , Tony Fadil (Web Crawler) , Andy Gatenby (Nemesis), Ewen MacIntosh (The Office) , Dean Maskell (No Reasons), Lucy Pinder (Age of Kill), Marc Zammit (Homeless Ashes) to name a few. Great cast in a fun film.

So get yourself comfy, warm, and snacked up, and settle down for a couple of hours and venture into James Crow’s latest film and beware if you end up on the naughty list of this Santa.
