David Simon’s WE OWN THIS CITY, available to own now digitally from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

Hot off the back of the 20th anniversary of HBO’s ground-breaking series The Wire, the brilliant David Simon brings fans a new limited series, WE OWN THIS CITY, available to own now digitally from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

Produced by Emmy Award-nominee George Pelacanos (The Wire) and directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard, Top Boy), WE OWN THIS CITY has been highly praised by critics for its, “bleakly compelling” (BFI) narrative. and with some of those names attached, its definitely a show that I want to check out. The series is based on a true case of mass police corruption in Baltimore and chronicles the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force. This includes the corruption and moral collapse that overtook an American city where the policies of drug prohibition and mass arrest were championed at the expense of actual police work.

Featuring an all-star ensemble cast, WE OWN THIS CITY stars Jon Bernthal (The Wolf of Wall Street), BAFTA Award-winner Wunmi Mosaku (His House), Emmy® Award-nominee Josh Charles (Four Brothers) and McKinley Belcher III (Marriage Story).

The series reunites much of the talented cast from The Wire including Jamie Hector (Bosch), Darrell Britt-Gibson (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Domenick Lombardozzi (Cold Pursuit), Tray Chaney (We Need To Talk), Delaney Williams (The Punisher), Jermaine Crawford (Person of Interest), Anwan Glover (12 Years a Slave), Chris Clanton (The Unrest: Web), Nathan Corbett (Half Nelson), Maria Broom (Homicide: Life on the Street), Susan Rome (A Dirty Shame) and Michael Salconi (Homicide: Life on the Street).

All six episodes of WE OWN THIS CITY are available to buy now across all major digital platforms.
