Camille Keaton breaks isolation to Cry for the Bad Man this May!
This May, I Spit On Your Grave’s Camille Keaton breaks Isolation to seek justice in Cry for the Bad Man.
When a small-town widow (played by Camille Keaton) is grieving in isolation, she receives a deadly ultimatum from the privileged sons of a local land developer to sell her beloved property. With 24 hours to decide and her pleas to the town’s corrupt sheriff falling on deaf ears, she realizes she must take matters into her own hands. Her quest for justice turns into an all-out battle and grisly confrontation and it certainly is a battle in one of my favourite indie films of the year and with a central powerful performance by Camille as Marsha Kane. Writer Director Sam Farmer delivers a powerful tale that often feels like an updated homage to the classic Straw Dogs but also has a wonderful western feel to its setting. Brutal. tense, and wonderfully shot, this film had me hooked from its open theme track by Franko Carino mixed over a ‘what is going on’ montage where we are introduced to what most definitely looks like a crime scene, a gun, a suitcase, all building up the jigsaw of the soon to be plot. Cry for the Bad Man is definitely a film worth checking out.
