New Sensory Activities from the PLAY-DOH Imagination Curriculum!

School may be closed for summer, but creativity is still in session! The PLAY-DOH Imagination Curriculum now offers more opportunities to foster endless creativity and critical thinking with every squish in the classroom and beyond! With the newly launched PLAY-DOH Learning Lab , exclusively on Amazon’s PLAY-DOH brand store, parents, teachers, daycare providers, and all educators can access learning materials that help kids exercise their imaginations and individuality through a variety of fun activities.

With activities ranging from 5 to 15 minutes, the PLAY-DOH Learning Lab includes step-by-step guides for parents and educators to seamlessly present each project to kids through detailed instructions, structured scripts and options for extending each lesson plan. With brand-new activities like Creature-ologists, Music Monsters and Slice of Pie[SW1] [JC2] , little ones can freely express themselves by creating their own sculptures and characters using PLAY-DOH compounds – sparking open-ended play that celebrates everyone’s unique imagination. Additionally, the custom-created Amazon brand store features downloadable worksheets and resources for teachers, as well as interactive DOH creations, playsets, and PLAY-DOH compounds available for purchase to stock classrooms and daycares

The Imagination Curriculum was created as an actionable response to insights gleaned through the PLAY-DOH brand’s 2023 study, “Imagination Is A Superpower,” and developed in conjunction with leaders in play and imagination with more than 40 years expertise in qualitative research, inclusive design and creative arts. The study found that:

Two thirds of parents feel like imagination is not a skill that modern society values or is prioritized by education

72% of parents feel that children are less imaginative than they used to be in the past

90% of parents associate imagination with mood boosting benefits

48% of teens say stress is the highest contemporary life barrier and the #1 reason for loss of imagination when compared to judgement, distractions, fear and time

The importance and value of imagination is understood by most, but the ability to build and maintain imaginative skills is impacted by societal attitudes and fear of judgement or failure. The PLAY-DOH Imagination Curriculum is a hands-on resource that will help children develop the skills and confidence to harness their imagination.
