It’s 1944, and although the Nazis are on the retreat in Finland, they’re determined to destroy the country before they go. In the Lapland wilderness, lone war veteran Aatami Korpi finds the gold treasure that he has been looking for all his life. He will take his treasure from the desolate fells into the city but first he must travel through wilderness occupied by German troops.
While there is no direct translation for the Finnish word “sisu”, this legendary ex-commando will embody what sisu means: a white-knuckled form of courage and unimaginable determination in the face of overwhelming odds. When the Nazi’s steal his gold, the one-man death squad will go to outrageous lengths to get it back — even if it means killing every last Nazi in his path.
