New documentary ‘BROTHERS IN ARMS: THE MAKING OF PLATOON’ comes to UK DVD and Digital 5th October

Oliver Stone’s Platoon is regarded as one of the best war films ever made and I 100% agree with that. It changed the face of war films on the cinema screen forever through its raw, honest and deeply moving portrayal of young American soldiers serving during the Vietnam war in which filmmaker Oliver Stone serves his country.

Now, Brothers in Arms: The Making of Platoon is the feature-length story of how this iconic, four-time Oscar winning film came to be, featuring new interviews with the actors who would go on to become major stars.

Narrated by Charlie Sheen (Anger Management, Wall Street), the cast and crew share stories making this non-union, low budget, independent film. They share memories of the gruelling boot camp, Oliver Stone’s unique directing style, the harsh filming conditions that forged their eternal brotherhood, and the lasting legacy of this cinematic masterpiece.

Featuring interviews with Johnny Depp (Black Mass, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street), Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse, Murder on the Orient Express), Kevin Dillon (Entourage, Poseidon), Tom Berenger (Inception, Sniper), Keith David (Greenleaf, 21 Bridges), Tony Todd (The Flash, Candyman), John C. McGinley (Chicago P.D, Scrubs) and many more, Brothers in Arms: The Making of Platoon is the ultimate tribute to one of the greatest movies ever made.
