Skyscraper keeps Dwayne Johnson elevated as the King of Action Films ( @TheRock )

Courage has no limits in the heroic action-packed film Skyscraper, out now on Digital as well as  4K Ultra HD, Blu-rayT, and DVD  The global blockbuster from Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures has taken over $300 Million worldwide and is a non-stop, emotionally visceral thrill ride that  combines films such as The Towering Inferno with modern classics such as the Die Hard franchise and keeps Dwayne Johnson right up there at the top of his game and the top of the action hero list for the current era. Its been said before, but from someone who remembers very well the era when Schwarzenegger was the king of the action film. Dwayne Johnson has definately earned that title with his constant stream of hit roles in purely enjoyable films. Long may that continue. Plus he seems like a damn decent guy doesnt he.

Skyscraper follows Will Sayner, a former FBI hostage team leader (played by Dwayne Johnson ) now turned security consultant who will stop at nothing while trying to save his family from a deadly blaze in one of the most modern tech buildings in the world when terrorists attempt to destroy what isnt there. This is what cinema spectable is all about and Skyscraper has it all, its a feast for the eyes with some fantastic set pieces and pyrotechnics, as well as some fantastic stunt work and great direction from Rawsone Marshall (who previously worked with Dwayne in the wonderful Central Intelligence)

Skyscraper also stars Neve Campbell (Scream), Chin Han (The Dark Knight), Roland Møller (Land of Mine), Pablo Schreiber (Starz’s “American Gods,” 13 Hours) and Hannah Quinlivan (Moon River) and is a perfect popcorn film for the winter nights and days.  I have seen Skyscraper twice now, once on its cinema release which was fantastic spectacle on a very large screen, and earlier today whilst watching the extras laden blu ray (which looks fantastic on my 4k 50 inch screen.
